Atari Breakout

Description

Atari Breakout is an upgraded version of the legendary Atari game Breakout. The aim of the game is to hit the ball to break all the colored blocks and enjoy it.

Atari Breakout is a classic arcade game released in 1976, inspired by the popularity of the seminal 1972 game Pong. Atari Breakout was created by Nolan Bushnell and Steve Bristow and manufactured by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs.

The goal of the game is to bat the ball at the colored blocks until none remain while demonstrating that the ball does not pass through your paddle. Play this classic game with power-ups to help you advance to the next level.

Features

  • Raise the number of balls to three.
  • Expand the size of your paddle.
  • Make the ball "heavy" so that it can smash through all of the blocks.
  • Make your paddles shoot lasers.

Tips

Breakout's mechanics are basic, therefore there are just a few things you can do to play your best:

  • Maintain your focus on the ball.
  • Prepare for the next shot.
  • Gather power-ups to increase your edge.
  • If you want to maintain a power-up, avoid the other power-ups.

How to play

The goal of the game is straightforward: use the ball to demolish all of the blocks. The tricky part is lining up so you don't miss it.

Power-ups drift toward you in this enhanced version of Atari Breakout. These power-ups, which vary from boosting the number of balls in play to providing a larger striking area, may be gathered. Your lives are shown in the lower-left corner of your screen. When you run out of lives, you must restart the game.
